Newsletter Mailing List Update
We like to keep our mailing list for the newsletter updated. We want to provide the newsletter to everyone who is reading it and who wants it. However, if you do not wish to have the Pekin Area Chapter newsletter, we want to respect your preference and not send it. If you should choose not to receive the newsletter now, but later realize you would again like to receive it, simply write to ask that your name be put back on the mailing list. If you no longer wish to receive the letter, please help us out by having your name removed from the list. This helps us out with expenses. Your donations to this page is what keeps our letters going.
Love Gifts enable us to continue to reach out to other bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. They may be brought to a chapter meeting or sent to our local Mailing address:
THE TCF PEKIN CHAPTER # 1525
1500 N. Mayfield Ct.
Trivoli, IL 61569-2500
Please note: We welcome your contributions of poems or articles, also; however, they must be signed by the person responsible for the writing. Articles, poems, and birthday/anniversary dates you would like published in our newsletter need to be submitted by the FIRST of the month prior to the month you would like them published. Items received too late will be posted the following month.
We wish to Thank You for your Memorials to the Pekin Chapter.
Your thoughtfulness and support is greatly appreciated !!!
A Word from your Chapter Leader:
I know your thoughts are focused on your past memories, but I want to encourage hope and loving support as we begin this New Year. Be kind to yourself. Figure out what is realistic and possible for you, and then try it. Don’t be afraid to revise your plan. Simply do what works for you. You must take care of yourself. Try helping someone else. By reaching out to another hurting heart, we begin the process of healing our own heart.
I want to thank all of our members who have spent many countless hours to have our chapter continue for yet another year. It takes team effort to have a successful chapter. We have shared good times as well as bad times. There have been lots of tears and laughter and we know we can depend on each other. Thanks to all the parents who have attended the meetings. I hope you have found a place where you can feel safe and secure.
The success of our chapter depends on all of you. This year, you may feel that you are far enough along in your grief journey to get more involved with our chapter. There are many ways in which you can contribute to the success of our chapter and help the new families who attend our meetings each month. Please consider this. Our heartfelt thanks to those of you who have contributed to the Memorial Page in the newsletter as that helps our chapter to continue to reach other grieving parents.
I wish each of you hope and peace and beautiful memories for this coming New Year.
Laura Schmied, Chapter 1525 Leader
